What is Excel (xls/xlsx) File?

It is a file format that is generally created by Microsoft Excel. Up to Microsoft Excel 2003, the extension was xls and from Microsoft Office 2007 the extension is xlsx. It is generally used by most of the organizations and businesses. That’s why it is very important to have xlsx file instead of vcf.

If you try to google this, you will find amazing results. You will find various paid software to do the same. Unfortunately, you will not be able to find any free one. This is because converting from xlsx to vcf is a two-step process. Let us see how we can Convert Excel xlsx to Vcard vcf File:

Suggestions on how to convert the whole CSV file into a batch of VCards?

    Thank you

    • Hello Valerie,

That is simple. To create VCF file for each entry just select the option “vCard Folder(each contact create a VCF File)”. Hope this helps :)

  3. It Keeps telling me “No Vcard Property, Please select vcard property for CSV Feild.” What does that mean? I did select vcard property for csv feild but still it couldnt recognize :( Please help.

  4. Hi,

How should I arrange the data in excel? Could you give me an example for Full Name, Phone, Email and Job title?

My csv is always messed up and the converter can’t identify the csv & vCard properties correctly.

    Thank you in advance!

    • Hello Rudi,

It is very simple. I have included the screenshots here:

All you have to do is to arrange the CSV file as you require and map the columns with the respective VCard properties. Let me know if you encounter any problems.

  5. Hi. I imported all the Vcard to my galaxy tab. The name (first and last name) is correct. However the phone number is not recognized as “mobile number”. It only appear as “notes” as the most below. So I cant call or text with having no number in the “mobile number” slot. Can you advise?

  6. I had to open the csv-file in an Editor and to Exchange all “;” into a “,” and save it again. Than it worked properly. Thank you. It helped a lot.
